Beatles For Christmas

Look at my cool Christmas present from Dan and his girlfriend! It's the Beatles from their cartoon of many years ago. Dan asked me "you still like the Beatles, right?" Silly question!! I don't think anyone stops liking the Beatles. I actually love this present. Awfully nice of him to think of me. We had a great lunch on Saturday, always good to see him and catch up.

It's Monday!

Down to 1.99 9/10 today. I drove by Saturday and it was 1.97 9/10. In the end that makes it a total of 8 cents lower than a week ago.

Sad news today, Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro finally had to be euthanized today after his terrible accident back in the Preakness Stakes. They tried hard to save him. Unfortunately to no avail. He looked so awesome in all his races, who knows what could have been.

Checking In

It’s been a couple weeks since my last post. Not a whole lot going on. Busy as usual at work. I’ve also been trying to hook up with Dan to give him his Christmas present. We’re now supposed to get together on Saturday for lunch. That’ll be cool. Otherwise things are relatively quiet. Just been enjoying the playoff football season and plugging away at everyday life.

Gas is down to 2.07 9/10 per gallon today. That’s a drop of 24 cents since 12/31/2006 (22 days). More than a cent a day. Not what I anticipated, but I'm happy to be wrong!

January Grilling

Since the weather was so nice yesterday for the start of the NFL playoffs, Doc had a small barbecue. In the end only Mike and I showed up, a couple others didn't make it. It was still awesome. Now we've had a December and a January cookout! Hooray for global warming (just kidding). Here's Mike cooking up the burgers and dogs.
