Room With A View

Though the last couple days have been a bit chillier, they have also been gorgeously clear. Here's the view outside my bedroom window yesterday. Beautiful!!

Happy Thanksgiving

First, a Happy Thanksgiving to all. Enjoy the family, friends, food and football!!

Almost two weeks ago, Murphy's brother Billy came into town on Friday to visit. He went right up to New York with Manny so the rest of us didn't get to see him until Sunday when we went to Philadelphia Park for some racing. Had a real good time. Saw him briefly Monday before he flew home. He's quite the character. Then Manny, Doc and I went to Harrahs Chester harness track. Manny hit a $200.00 plus trifecta. The next race I hit a $200.00 plus exacta. We did good. It was a fun long weekend.

The living room furniture arrived on schedule and now the place looks great. I did a thorough spot cleaning of the carpet and it looks a thousand percent better. Got a new lamp and throw rug and I now love the room. Didn't like it at all before, my old stuff just didn't work with the carpeting. Doc's daughter got the old couch and my brother Jon got the oriental throw rug. The rest I reused in other rooms. Now the place is just the way I want it.

On this day I realize how thankful I am for everything, especially being back home. Got a great place to live, a good job and awesome family and friends. I feel very, very lucky. Am going to my brother Jeff's place for dinner tonight. Lots of family will be there. Couldn't be better!!
