Who's The New Cowboy?

My most recent visitor (Joanne) has come and gone. She arrived Friday night February 10th, and went back home Monday morning February 13th. We had a great time. She took the picture you see of me at midfield of Texas Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys). We took the stadium tour which was pretty cool. We also spent lots of time doing other sightseeing, eating and hanging out. It was awesome!! The time went way too fast. Hope she comes back again soon!!

Happy Birthday Peter Gabriel

Today is Peter Gabriel's 56th birthday. I wish him many, many more. He is absolutely my favorite musician. Some of the best music and concerts I have ever experienced are his. Back in the early 70's with Genesis, and in his entire solo career, nobody has ever created music that means so much to me.

An interesting note, I tuned in to the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics shortly before they were over Friday night, and who starts to perform? PG!! He did a version of the John Lennon song "Imagine" that was awesome. Fortunately, I was able to capture it on my DVR. I usually never watch the opening ceremonies. FATE!!

Here's the official PG site and another one I found today that has some good info.

Super Bowl XL

The Steelers won the Super Bowl. The game had moments of excitement, though overall not really a great game. I think the Seahawks had some calls go against them. That being said, they did have some chances and couldn't capitalize on them.

I've been sick all weekend but managed to wake up from the couch 45 minutes before kickoff and watch the whole game. I had thought about coming home for the game and party, but am now glad I didn't considering how I feel. I participated in a Super Bowl block pool though I won nothing. My ex coworker and buddy Bill won $350.00!! Congrats to him. A nice way to really enjoy the game. Well, back to the couch for me.
